V6 Project - Can someone messure for me

Hi I'm planning to start a new project soon, just trying to find a van and parts at the moment and I'll get going.Can someone do some measuring for me?

I need to know the engine bay size

I'm planning to fit a 2.5 or 3.0L Duratec V6, will it fit?


I also need the gearbox tunnel measured

as I will need to fit a stronger box something like a 5 speed MT75.

You will also need to upgrade your diff do a search you may find some usefull info,v6 has been done by Dozer now with new owners.

Narrowest point between engine bay sides is 22 1/2". The chassis rails low down encroach about 1 1/2" either side but these a low down so shouldn't get in the way. I've moved my radiator as far forward as possible to fit an electric fan and the distance from rear bulkhead to back of rad is 27". There isn't a gearbox tunnel - the floor is high enough for the 'box to be slung underneath. Hope this helps.
