Hi, I posted earlier about getting a rear axle for a Wanderer I was looking at buying in Sydney. Well found an axle but in Victoria, so purchased the van. But it will be some weeks before I get my hands on the rear axle. In the mean time, I have fitted a missing front hub and 2 front wheels, loaded it onto a trailer with the help of a forklift and need the axle to fit and get off the trailer. So here are some photos. Looks rough (and is) but is fairly rust free. Small amount in one corner of the peak, one spot in the floor and that is it as far as I can see. The Parkstone roof is dismantled, but most of the bits seem to be there, with much wood work missing. Hopefully enough to use as patterns for the new timber.
I will be after lots of parts to get it back to what it once was. I do intend to restore as much as possible, but with alloy head engine and OD gearbox. Mechanicals are currently missing. Did come with an iron head motor with auto box attached in the back of the van (but is a manual gear change van). Major parts I will be looking for are rear doors, engine cover and front seat. Anybody in Australia able to help?
Some photos for you enjoyment and/or commiserations.
