Hello all
Whats the best size for replacement tyres? Mines fitted with 670x15 crossplies and I'd like to fit radials. Do they need to be some sort of commercial tyre? Are 185x15s similar in height to 670s? What have you got on your's Help![please][?]
thanks for that studiocommer, you're a star!, need to get the wheels shotblasted and painted before I get them. just spent the weekend stripping the interior out of the van, my beautiful van is just a bare shell now - ready for the panels I've ordered from woolfie. a bit scary but a few months and hopefully she'll be back to her former glory.[|)]
Hiya Steve, if no one has already said it 'Welcome to the Madhouse'
You will enjoy it in here, most people do. Have you any pics or details of your van - don't be shy - share
Believe me I'm as thick as pig s**t but I manage, once you get the knack it's easy. If you are stuck you can email them to me and I will post them for you. You can send them to [email protected]
Thanks John I'll do that. I'll see if the wife can figure it out first!. I,ve just been looking at the bill of sale for it in 1972 - its amazing [sounds sad that does'nt it!] The free standing table was the princely sum of £1.88, the rear door cupboards were £8.50 [along with the flyscreens] and the fridge and underfloor gas was a whopping £36.50!! aye it was a a different world was'nt it?
Click on 'Panky' and it will take you to my profile, then take the short cut to my homepage. It is very sad, Harvey is still at the back of the garage awaiting my attention [V]
one day though eh? as long as its close to the top of your 'things to do before I die' list!! Dig the pendulator! could do with one of those myself. Mines a autosleeper too.
Things to do in the next two years, Harvey will be on the road soon, watch the progress at a Commervanfan site near you
I don't think I'll need the Pendulator - that was an idea for Woolfy - but just plenty of determination.
up in the North East , Redcar, near Middlesbrough [Great team]. New Forest may be a bit too far to travel , will come to future meets though, wouldn't of minded going to woolfies 'weld in' might have got a few tips!! can't weld myself.
Not a million miles from Martin Maltas, but quite a few (Yorkshire):I well worth the trip to see the collection. I'm sure Martin would be happy to show you round the 'exhibits' :I
