tuning weber carb on Commer PB

I am planning on going away next week in my Commer PB but the engine hasn't been running very well. I have fitted a new distributor because the old one had very worn bushes. I now need to tune the carb but my manual covers the Zenith carbs and my vehicle has it replaced by a Weber (as fitted to later PBs?). I am going to put on an almost new Weber from another PB because that way I can guarantee it has the correct jets. Can anyone please give basic instructions for tuning the Weber? You need a co2 meter up the exhaust pipe to do it correctly its ok screwing the mixture screw in and out, but there is no way of knowing what your achiving. You could use a gunson colour tune but there a bit hit and miss! Make sure your ignition timing is correct before you touch the carb. If i were you i would take it to a friendly mot station and get them to drop the pipe up your exaust and see what the reading are.
