Had a wicked time, just after the d day anniversary so still plenty of military stuff about then down the west coast for a bit of beach action, great trip, love France so much. The most amazing place being mont st michell...incredible place to see and wasn't too busy when we went fortunately. Recommend a trip to France to anyone.

I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.

...Just for awareness the RH Insurance Europe breakdown is incredible, think it was through AXA. Was included free in the yearly price and they dealt with everything free of charge including recovery off the French motorway - you have to use the police approved recovery, which costs money as M-Ways are private in France. They moved us to a lovely campsite until it was time to leave. Picked us up again at 4am and took us to the ferry and then were waiting to pick us up again in the UK for a lift back home - all no cost and the holiday wasn't ruined at all. Not really sure what we'd have done without them tbh especially as they did all the speaking to the recovery people who spoke no English, my French isn't really up to scratch just yet.
The beauty was that we stopped near Silverstone so the driver could have his rest just as a meet was finishing, the garage services were full of classics, mainly MG's but also may others including an original GT40!!!

i'm with them too.. Takes the pressure off a bit. Maybe France is do-able afterall

I only got recovered twice last year... The other 2 breakdowns were bodged/ overcome or parts adapted to keep koing. Lol

Cool trip[8D], Van looks great, beautiful camp sites and those WW2 sites would be very interesting. One for the bucket list I think.Unfortunately a long trip without some kind of mechanical challenges just wouldn't be a trip in a Commer, All great fun![^]
