The fun has begun , bell housing slave cylinder leaking

Hi all , Mertle the Turtles commercial 1961 slave cylinder is leaking , my question is , what parts I need to solve the problem , are they interchangeable with other makes and models , would I be better off just buying the whole parts rather than a repair kit . Any help really appreciated

That should say commer 1961 not commercial ,thanks in advance

Hi - seal kits are available and simple to do but for the cost and simplicity I’d put a new one on in case it’s worn or rusty inside but guess you could check that - Martin Malta’s has new in stock I believe

I looked at a repair kit and it was almost as expensive as a complete cylinder. When I removed the old one it had failed because the bore had a rusty groove along the bottom.
