The company that I work for often has visitors from other companies using our facilities.
We have just had a group of guys from Sweden in.
Morgan, one of them, is completely mad about split screen Volkswagens.
He has 13 split screen VW's and many other vehicles.
If you had 6 months of darkness a year what do you do?
He had never heard of the Commer van before. He was very keen to take a look.
After a short while of clambering around mine that he thought they are realy cool and the layout was better than a VW with the doors at the back.
He also thought that to get my van sorted out was a realy easy job compared to some of his VW projects.
Over a couple of beers we discussed the merits of both vans and how best to tackle rust, a common problem with both, and welding and painting.
He has invited me to drive my van over there to one of their club meetings in July.
That could be a good little trek for the van.
