SU Carb I for required

But there is more than 1 type of alloy inlet

Ah, a Weber manifold, in which case i don't need the exhaust.

Mmmm that alloy head engine will be nice in your van. Just wondering why aren't you going with the Weber carb (no mods needed...)? There are factory manifolds to take a single sidedraught too. You could probably do a swap with someone :)

At first I didn't realise that the manifold was designed to take a weber I thought it was for a Stromberg if I'm honest. Anyway regardless I've spoken to numerous people from this club and everyone who uses an SU carb sings its praises in terms of reliability and improved MPG. They're also easier to set up. I know carb preference is a hornets nest so this is all I'm saying :)

Yep, your'e not wrong there. What ever you put in will no doubt be better than what the van came out of the factory with, nice 1 :D
