Starters and alternators

I am now stocking new starter motors, both the PB(inertia) type and the later Spacevan. Also the higher output (35A), altenators.
 
sound good martin. Do you have a full list of the stuff you can supply?

Time for a website I think?!

I'll let you know Monday how much the Spacevan ones are, I only got word today they can do them.

I have registered a couple of website addresses, just need to sort it out.

Martin, how much for an inertia starter? Are they on exchange, and how much postage?I think Speedy's are around £30, with a £20 surcharge, but I'd rather "keep it in the family", so to speak!
 
Emmerson. £35, no exchange, so also save on posting it back :)
Jon, sorry I havn't got a price on the later one yet. Been a mix up on the model. We may have to do these on service exchange [xx(]

Hi Matt here from the Rootes Archive Centre Trust - We have some NOS pre-engaged starter motors that were purchased when RJ Grimes closed down. They are a mitsubishi starter motor that was oem on the 74-81 Hillman Avenger - The Lucas documentation states that Mitsubishi Starter MEA 16-3 is the equivalent of Lucas LRS347 - Let me know if you think these would fit - I think we have got about 10.

I think we would need to take some dimensions, as the Dodge ones are MEA17-1. I would be very interested if they do fit.
 
Just seen the Trust posting on Starter motors

Having checked my books the number quoted is questionable as later Avengers had 293 starters and these did not fit any Commer I can find. Plus I can't find the quoted 347 ref in either Lucas or Unipart catalogues( main body and cross Ref sections)
