now thats pants i preferred my version where he was on another planet being used for research, when really he was just on the a30, you people have no imagination, or was that where the aliens dropped him off, was he naked?[}] the plot thickens people[}][}][}]
I guess it was 'Nomad' you spotted complete with palm tree and '70s cab graphics. Maybe it was driven by the aliens in the belief that they would blend in [}]
maybe the alliens stole his commer to take back to their homeland to show others how our superior engineering and build quality has come on over the years.
the aliens got excited and stole it after they over heard someone talking about it, and how it reached warp speed.but when they got it home they realized that they had miss heard the conversation and found out that it barely broke walk speed.
Haha..just came across this thread!..thanks Poppi..yeah the A35 saw a huge convoy behind me!..several hundred yards long at times..the climb out of Honiton brought me many 'fisted hands' haha!..but hell yeah i made it to Brighton!..
Gotta love driving a Commer!
I can just imagine those at the end of the queue expecting to eventually pass a tractor and trailer containing freshly harvested dung then, in the distance, they can just make out a shape [?] They can't quite make it out at first but it seems to be brownish green, but as the queue shortens and the gap closes foliage, yes it's foliage. All of a sudden the squabbling kids in the back turn their attention away from the DVD and the PlayStation and peer inquisitively through the windscreen, straining against their Houdini proof restraints, to get a glimpse of the distant object. Nearer and nearer they get and finally the true splendour of the art work is revealed. A fascinating few minutes is spent as close as possible to Nomads rear bumper checking out the mobile jungle and, before the kids have had a proper, look an unfortunate overtaking opportunity arrives. Lots over over-the-shoulder looks as they shoot past and exclamations of 'Uncle Dave had one of them in the 70's' and 'I think the Water Board used to have loads of them, or was it Eddie Stobart'. Lots of chatting about the 'olden days' would ensue and the kids would get a history lesson on the old Bedford they had just passed and tales of holidays at the seaside in crocheted swimming trunks. The excited chatter soon stopped however around the next bend when they ran into the next queue behind a s**t tractor. You didn't cause a traffic jam Paul, you just had a audience [8D][8D]
