Spigot bearing puller

Here is a quick and inexpensive alternative to purchasing a spigot bearing puller.
You will need one if fitting an engine from a manual gearbox car into an Automatic.

Take one 'rawlplug', M8 long size as shown in the picture.Undo the nut and remove it, slide the washer down the shaft and add a thin socket onto the shaft, add a washer and refit the nut.Push the expanding end of the rawlplug inside the spigot bearing and tighten the nut as so the end of the rawlplug expands and fits tightly inside the spigot bearing. Now slide a large socket( i used a 36MM ) over the rawlplug and socket as so the other end of the rawlplug fits through and out the rear of the large socket.Add a thick washer and another nut, centre the large socket and tighten the nut. This will pull the spigot bearing out of the crankshaft end easily!!.

Saves a lot of time and money!!

It came to me whilst scrounging through grandads tool kit...i saw a pack of two of these and i thought it might work, and it does very well.
