Speedo

A quick question i have a 1972 highwayman with 15 inch wheels,the speedo seems to show about 10 MPH slow ( 30 MPH sign flash when i drive through them at 20MPH on speedo) is this common with these size wheels or is it a speedo problem /gearbox drive
i am going to check the speed on my sat nav but wondered if anyone had any ideas
will the miles on the odometer be different than actual miles travelled ? as she eats the petrol like nothing ive known !!!

Petrol thing sounds right, about 20/25mpg [V][xx(]
I find the speedos to be generally unreliable, the PO van is about the same as yours, that's on 14's.

My speedo is working (just replaced the speedo cable) but the odometer is not... Any idea what this could be?
