Hi everyone.
Complete noob here. Until today I had never heard of commer but then I came across this crazy camper truck on a local sale site. I am hoping to go and check it out this week but I reckon it will be riddled with rust because it's in a paddock close to the ocean... What I am wondering is would the camper component lift off the truck? Can I transpose it to another vehicle?

A bit of a sad looking camper and, as you say, looks like it has a few issues. The camper body; although it's made of fibre glass, is timber framed and you can be pretty sure a lot of that that will be rotten too. I suppose it could be adapted to fit another vehicle but it's not a simple lift off job so the time, money and skills it would take to remove, repair and transplant are prohibitive - probably as much as restoring the whole van. If you do have the time and skills yourself then it would be a great long term project but paying someone else to do it would be very expensive.
