Hi,
The windscreen on the Dodge has a rubber that looks in pretty good condition, but it's leaking while parked.
There was no sealant at all - so we tried with silicone on the lower bits as a quick fix but that's since failed.
So I've got the proper non setting black gunk on the way.
I don't want to remove the screen at the moment, so my plan was to remove any silicone, clean screen/rubber with meths or similar and apply the proper stuff between the rubber and the glass.
Is the aim to get as much in there and as deep as possible then push the rubber down against the glass and remove any excess with white spirit or am I supposed to be subtler than that?
Cheers
Paul.
