On our trip to Hungary last year, one thing we noticed was when Gladys was hot and we were stuck in traffic the release bearing would squeal a little, so while I have a little time on my hands I thought I would take Mr Pankys advise and replace it with the MGB type ,so ordered one from ebay.
In next to no time this arrived in the post

And look what I found when I looked at the release bearing was already a MGB type:)

So I have ordered a new clutch plate and Spigot bush, Thought I might as well fit new ones while its apart.
 
Our experience last year was somewhat similar..........We were just down he road in Dubrovnik in our VW camper, (at the same time you were in Hungary) and our spigot bearing collapsed and gave us no end of grief in traffic when it all got hot.

Hi Colin shame we missed each other in those foreign parts so close but so far, Hopefully we can all get together soon.
