Has anyone done this and do you have pictures , I'm considering chopping off the whole baby k outer fluted panel ...? Is this right......any pics out there also how is panel attached.....sadly it's the only rot in what is a solid van ...(maisie). Please help , I have the repair boots from Martin who suggested cutting out rear floor. Regards Plato.

Hi Plato and a good morning to you.
Awfully sorry but I don't know what a baby k is but if you could post a few pics of the area then hopefully we can be of help. Sorry to be a bit thick.

Yes good morning Panky glorious weather for restoration .........Baby k..sorry I really should reread messages. I'm replacing the inner chassis boots ...I think I need to remove the rear outer fluted panel first....I have never done this so hoping someone has and may have pics..... thank you for replying so soon .Plato

I think I've caught up, are we talking about the rear door pillar extensions that weld to the chassis below the floor? I did do that repair a very long time ago before Martins repair panels were available but didn't record it sorry. I didn't take the outer panel off as it was almost brand new (replaced by previous owner) but I can see why Martin has suggested it as it was really awkward getting in to weld from underneath. You could cut out a section of the outer panel to get to the chassis boot then weld it back in later, it might be easier than trying to unpick spot welds from inaccessible places.
