Rear axle

Hi all, I am a newbie and looking at a very rough Wanderer in Australia. It is missing the rear axle, rear doors and the Parkstone roof is very apart with a few bits of woodwork missing. My main question is will a Humber Series rear axle fit? I have checked the track at they are the same, stud pattern is the same. Is the spring hanger spacing he same? Roger in Sydney.
 
Hi Roger and welcome to the Madhouse :) Not sure about the hanger spacing, I can measure mine if you can get the Humber dimensions to compare, one thing I'm pretty sure of though is that the perches will be on the bottom of the Humber axle casing as opposed to the Commer ones being on top - great if you are thinking about a 5" drop on the rear. You you could get lucky and find one with a taller final drive than normal too.
 
Thanks Panky - you are correct the hangers are on the bottom on the Humbers. I notice in my Commer WSM that there was a Salisbury axle on some models. Which ones had these (and I bet they never came to Australia).
