This is not commer related but I know there are a few good car spotters here that might be able to help with this...

Glyn heard a quiz question on the radio the other night, but didn't get to hear the answer so would love some help as sounds familiar but can't crack it[V]

What famous car on TV bore the registration plate FKE 199L?

Tried the ebay motors number plate search which has it down as a green triumph, no model specified - we couldn't think of any famous ones. Not sure where the DVLA search function is to find out any more.

Any ideas - hints dropped by presenter that it was police related & everyone would have seen it[?][?]

Don't know, cos I haven't got a telly, but I've heard of a police series set in 1973. Was it one of the cars in that?
 
just because its regestered to a triumph now it might not have been always on that car.it might have been on z cars ,or the avengers.or randel and hopkerk,or even the sweeny.?:D:(
 
thats what i thought mart, purdys, thats why i mentioned the avengers,but wasnt sure because in dont go around looking at number plates all day.:p
