Rad cap part number

My radiator cap has disintergrated. Does anyone have a modern part number I can go into the local motor factors with and get a suitable 9lb replacement?

I think Greg just took his old one to Halfords and they matched it up, why not try and send for one from Speedies just in case:I. A Mini one looks very similar.

There are different reaches and lugs. I'll just take it down there tomorrow. I guess although it has come apart, it will still do the job if necessary

Different lugs? surely not unless the petrol and diesel rads are different and I`m pretty sure there not.quote:

No, what I mean is that according to the book in the local motor factors today there are lots of different versions of the 9lb rad cap for different vehicles - lug sizes differing and reach. As they didn't have a listing for the PB, they wanted me to take the cap in. I shall do it tomorrow.
