President Tractor

Just thought I'd let you see a restoration of a president tractor.
Picture 1 shows the tractor being used on our farm sometime in the 1950's, with my brother Ron in glasses standing in the front.
Picture 2 Shows Ron with the same tractor
Picture 3 Another view of the tractor.
Picture 4 Again shows Ron with the tractor after restoration
Picture 5 Another view of restored tractor.

And talking of workhorse, before we got that tractor all our working was done by Charlie our horse, he was used for mowing, haymaking, muck spreading, collecting pig swill and of course carrying me about.

Good old days...all this had gone by the time I was born...though I do remember a horse drawn rag and bone man when I was very young, I think he was one of the last though

Hasta la supervista baby

Yes life was definitely a lot slower them days, hardly anyone had cars and to go from Sedbergh, where I lived, to Liverpool took a full day using buses, Bus 1 from Sedbergh to Kendal, Bus 2 Kendal to Lancaster, Bus 3 Lancaster to Preston, Bus 4 Preston to Liverpool, Bus 5 Liverpool to Seaforth. Makes me tired just thinking about it now, but don't just take my word for it, ask Panky, he's even older than me.:D:D
