Practical Classics - July 2009

In this month's edition there's a rather ropey looking Commer PB pickup in 'Rotten Row' - if I remember correctly this is Ossett in Yorkshire.

Plus a tasty looking 'H' reg camper with recon engine but requiring rear suspension repairs in the classified section and asking for 'offers'.

(Sorry but I meant to bring the mag to work to post details but having to do from memory - will try to add these tonight at home)

The PB pickup at Ossett looks beyond saving. Contact [email protected] who will put you in contact with Roger Gillot who submitted the photos in the 'Rust In Peace' article.

Have transcribed the advert ;

quote:
COMMER CAMPER 1970, 1725cc, green, 89K, tax exempt, six berth, 2 owners, reconditioned engine, good tyres, new exhaust, requires suspension repair. Offers. 01765 600932. N. Yorkshire

All sounds rather interesting - particularly being 6 berth, so possibly with bunks AND a cab bed [8D]. Plus low owners too ! Photo is not large but body looks pretty clean, offside flutes look intact as far as the photos allows. Reg shown in photo is UVP 166H
