We've had Daisy for approx a year and she came to us fully restored and good to go, she is not one for the purists having had some panels prev replaced with flat panels from the original fluted ones, however she is still a beautiful looking van and I will be sad to see her go, only considering selling due to finances since splitting with my partner in March. Her story that we know is Nick from Witteringham surf purchased and fully renovated her keeping the original layout and cupboards etc but painting them and fitting bespoke worktops and covering seats in faux chestnut leather. I believe she was used in some of their advertising campaigns. She has an electric cool box on board and the original sink with floor pump for the water tap, she also has the original hob and grill in excellent condition. The van has had some work done by Martin incl a new carb, fixing the pop top so is secure when in use, and fitting leather door straps to all doors. We have fitted a new leisure battery and electrics so now we're not just relying on the 240 hook up but can also wild camp. I have replaced all the curtains and she comes with a spare wheel, cover and the original owners user guide, the van is good to go. Negatives are as with most vehicles this age she has some form of oil leak although we've never had to put oil in her since we've had her, there is always a patch on the driveway, the petrol guage doesn't work, I wouldn't describe her as totally water tight some water if heavy rain still gets in through driver side door due to how doors been hung I think, but rest of windows etc are leak free. The rear doors also rub a little and don't close quite flush, you can see where over time this may affect the paintwork as may chip a little. It will be a sad day to part with her as feel she has so many more adventures ahead of her just sadly time to let another family enjoy her. Any questions please ask, we are based near York.
