Has anyone had any joy with poly bushes for a Commer? I note there is someone in Australia selling them on ebay, but the postage to the UK is quite steep...

I need to remove my rear springs to repair the hangers and was thinking of replacing the bushes.
 
Something must fit, apparently cut down Landrover ones fit the fixed eye at the front of the spring - I wonder I wonder if Landy ones will fit the shackle as well.
 
I think Miss Piggy used them, in his front suspension, can't quite remember. Need to have another read of his postings as looking at using the poly bushes to replace my 50 year old ones in the near future. Advantage is that I'm in Australia, surprised you don't have them over there. we seem to have poly bushes available for just about everything these days. The one's I'm watching on Ebay are from Onlineperformance with free delivery within Australia. Seem a bargain to me, is this the same seller? If so, how much are they charging for freight to up over from down under.
 
It's the same seller and on closer inspection it's only Au$20 for postage to the UK, but can only see ones for the front suspension. I'll take some measurements of the rear eyes and do some investigation starting with the Landie ones. thanks.
 
The Commer is made up of parts from other Rootes products of the time.

Surely the rear leaf springs and hangers were originally off a Hillman or Humber they wouldn't have spent extra money making something just for the Commer

$20 Aussie dollars freight sounds a bargain, try buying something and paying freight out of the USA, "land of the free" my arse!!
