Piston broke ?

Luckily when we scrapped no.1 i kept a piston for reference, it seems to have been fitted with +060 hunter pistons (1787cc) and according to my Hepolite books these are less dished (higher compression) and have one less ring (lower friction) and were available in +090 a whopping 1821cc
Hepolite 18861/k.

I shall further investigate whether there is a better alternative to these

tim. ive heard some volvo pistons are suitable.dont know which ones tho.i know someone in the sunbeam rapier club has used them succesfully on a holbay engine

Can,t seem to find any Volvo ones quite right as most are about 1mm lower deck height, but my catalogue only goes up to 1989.
What we need to know is the wall thickness of the cylinders to see how much they can be bored out. So if anyone has a scrap block to donate to the cause [?]
