just wondered if you can fit an overdrive to a perkins diesel and if so where would I get one

Yes you can, you'll have to use the diesel bell housing on a Commer overdrive box.

So if you've already got a Perky installed it's just a matter of fitting the OD box onto the bell housing that's already there
And shortening the prop shaft of course.
