I haven't got a camper. I have never had a camper. My lovely late Aunt used to take me camping with her children throughout England in a little blue Commer affectionately named by us as Humphrey. I would like to re-kindle my youth and give my growing older children some great memories I had ... the only thing is cant have green and would there be vans for sale at Commerfest?

Hi there and welcome to the Madhouse:D
A very wise choice but all campers a green;) There's a faint possibility someone will be selling at Commerfest but only faint as people tend to keep hold of their precious vans. Martin Maltas, who is hosting the event, is probably your best bet for locating one as he tends to find them when few others can. It would be worth coming just to see the different conversions and chat to the enthusiastic owners who come from all walks of life and all ages, hopefully we'll se you there. If you fancy it message me and I'll give you details on how to purchase tickets. Remember we are Commerfans not just Commer owners so you will be welcome whatever you come in:)

Thank you. I will indeed look at perhaps achieving a trip to Yorkshire on the Sunday. However that is my daughters birthday and i wonder if I wil be excused? Furthermore it all links around our family holiday to St Ives so ... it may or may not happen as Yorkshire is a long long way from Oxford (home) after travelling back from St Ives (equally as far) the day before.... This is all going on the fact that the day is the first weekend of August?... Nevertheless I need to pursue and will be in touch... :)
