Oil temperature gauge

Has anyone got any good suggestions on the best place to put an oil temperature sender ???
It comes with a either 1/4 , 3/8 or 1/2 fittings
Im also fitting a pressure gauge and I've found a sensor which im assuming is the oil switch ???
I could make up a small manifold n use this point for both ???
Cheers

The best place for the oil temp sensor would be in the sump, where the bulk of the oil is. A tee off the side of the pressure sensor won't necessarily give you the temperature of the oil running through the block, as the sensor would be hanging outside the engine. Bit of a pain, but it would need a bung brazed into the sump or something similar to put the sender into.

Or a connection in a sandwich plate under the oil filter, the type used for fitting an oil cooler. Either way the sensor will need to be in the oil flow and not on a dead end as it would be on the oil pressure switch.
