Dave has used the Commer Imp as a camper in the past! Now he tends to use it in conjunction with a tent.

Welcome to the Madhouse:D
All Commers (and any other classic as it happens) welcome[8D] We are Commerfans and that usually goes hand in hand with all sorts of old stuff.
Sounds like you've got a rare bird there, we would love to see it at a meet soon - then we can decide if you are mad enough:p

very nice and welcome to the forum!

How good is the load carrying capacity of the van what with the engine being at the back?! (I've heard there is a German company that used to make vans with aircooled engines at the back - how silly ;) ) More piccies please!

As panky says we tend to like rare old stuff here, for example here's bugarit's new toy (swiftly becoming a new fave of mine!)

welcome on board

Cheers for the welcome :D Bit worried the Commer wouldnt fit in on here but hopefully you will like it . She has about 50 cubic feet of space plus a bit in the front boot and a quater of a ton load weight limit , not too many left , about 15 - 20 at a guess , this is the only full restall converted Commer ive seen , theres a couple with just the rear seat done , i suspect youve seen the one just sold on ebay , loads of piccys to come but il post them in drips and drabs :)

Hi Remmoc, Welcome to the forum:D Great van:p:p You are joining a growing list of Impers on here, myself , Baz and Alan Peterson in the USA amongst them.
I know of a Commer Imp Restall conversion in my area which is S/E Essex but as you say there are very few about.

That's why I thought you'd fit in here Dave!

Alan was trying to sell his Commer back in March when I was over in Seattle. I think he was asking about $8,000 for it. I even tried to sell it to one guy for him, I thought my terribly terribly British accent would help!
