Welcome to the mad house Loz. I bought Skye in July. Mine is an "L" Reg but she was manufactured in November 1972 so i dont have to pay any VED. Found a chap who can date your commer if you think it may be tax exempt[8D]
Many of the mob are off on a weekend meet in Cornwall this weekend. Not many around on here this weekend. There is another meet in September in Exeter if you want to come along.:D:D

Have fun with your Commer[^]

welcome - it is unusually quiet here as most regulars are actually off in their commers to meet up in deepest devon!

Theres a lot of useful stuff in the forum itself which I intend on extracting and putting on the main site number one contact would have to be woolfy for rarest of the rare - brand new panels!

Second choice? Speedy Spares www.speedyspares.co.uk

Evening loz, it's going to be vey quiet in here for a while as all the trouble makers are off on a jolly to Devon (our second forum Gathering). The place most of us turn to for bits is Speedy Spares http://www.speedyspares.co.uk/ give them a try, you should be able to get most of what you want by post. If it's panels you're after our very own woolfy can make most of the wrinkly and bendy stuff you will need, but he's away for the weekend as well. Trawl through some of the old postings and you will find all sorts of useful (and not so useful) stuff. Looks like it's left to me to give you the traditional welcome so 'welcome to the mad house' :D

Good greif, I thought I was the only one left in here [:0]

hi poppi
its on one of the threads here. its in bridford just outside exeter on the 9th and 10th September I think[8D][8D]

Hi Loz,
Welcome to the forum, good to hear from you. Best of luck with the van - I hadn't seen a commer around until I got my first one 10 years ago - am still hooked.
Parts network really good on forum, haven't managed to catch anyone out yet trying to find things. Someone somewhere will know where you will find things.
Have a great time getting van sorted, looking forward to seeing pics:)

[:0] just realised lol its the one you are in charge of :D i heard about it when i very first joined. Didnt realise it was the one you were organising:I

Thanks everyone for the lovely welcome.
Does anyone know where i can get window rubber seals from, the ones for drivers and passanger windows.Or are they universal.
THNANKS AGAIN[8D]

Sounds like Speedy Spares have them, but couldn't see side windows mentioned on PB list, worth contacting them as really knowledgeable on stock
PB price list (seals on page 4)

Hey Loz!

I am in a similar situation to you. My girlfriend and I bought a commer about a month ago. I know very little about them, but this is a great place to glean knowledge from the more experienced (verging on the obsessive) [8D] commer van fans. Obviously everyone will want to see pictures, so if you have 'em, please do post them! My commer is in the local garage for some TLC, but should emerge soon with a shiny new MOT, and then I can really have some fun!

Welcome to the forum. :)

:Dlol at Debs. Yes its 8th and 9th September free camping and a beer festival disco thurs and fri and live entertainment saturday All welcome. In aid of Devon air ambulance too.
