New CV joint needed???

Wondered what that clunking and vibrating was on the way back from Devon! Amazed it wasn’t noisier tbf. Got lucky really as could’ve been pretty messy failing at 65mph

One way to make sure it never fails again is to carry a spare.

That's what I thought, some roller bearings have just become ball bearings, same same - l put it back on

Replacing both if the new ones arrive before a camping trip on Friday. Worst case - I do have a spare (unfortunately long) prop with better ones on but the caps are so stuck in it's likely to do damage removing the CV - I don't have a vice wide enough so it's the socket and hammer method. Hoping it doesn't come to that as it'll just mean doing it all again next week.
