Not a Commer, but im itching to get my hands dirty.If i had gotten out of bed earlier it would of been mine now..[V]
Datsun cedric, 2.6 straight six auto box.1976.

I had a drive in it though, real luxury ride.P/s,E/w,A/c
Only had light rusting on boot floor above one chassis rail and on bonnet leading edge.

I remember a couple of these were run as taxis in the town where I grew up. One green metallic one and a dark brown one, I think. Don't think I've seen one since, and that must be about 30 years ago.. :I
 
Lucky its not for sale here in the UK or its next journey would probably have been its last.........round a banger track:(
 
I must say that the interest in preserving japanese cars is growing in this country, which I think is a really good thing - and well overdue. Old Bluebirds, Celicas and big Crowns are now found in the ads pretty regularly, as well as other odd ones including some almost exotic examples. :)

Have never liked the japanese vehicles myself (for a number of reasons), but they definitely have a place in the classic car world - which would be a lesser place without them.

Banger races are crimes against humanity! [}:)]
