Mirrors - a question for Commerjules

I have been looking on your website at the west coast mirrors. You have them mounted on a commer in your picture - but is this on the quarterlight or on the gutter?

Which mirrors do you have that would fit on the gutter. I have a couple that came with my van that appear on your site, but I cannot mount them on the gutter as the screw top is flush with the bodywork. I think they are of the Clamp-On Mirror Curved Arm type.

Im using the same ones as someone else here (sorry cant remember who) which although I sell them I didnt realise would do a good job on the Commer. Try a search here under mirrors for pics.

No its Chasbaps van mirrors that I sell, and have fitted the same on my van. Nice & neat and do a good job

I have a clamp on which I intend to fit today.

Indeed I do, unfortunately I can't post a picture as all my photos are on Flickr, which for some reason is blocked in Dubai, where I am now.

They are the lucas mirrors at ratsport, with convex glass, removing the blind spot.

Apologies for dragging up an old thread but can anyone tell me how the Lucas type mirrors are mounted to the doors? (welded captive nut, hole drilled and nut and bolt..... etc)

Bazil, there is a plate welded to the inside of the skin, with 2 tapped holes.

The doors have the two captive nuts but are they the correct size for the mirrors in the picture below?

The captive nuts look too small for the size of bolt that the mirror looks to have [?]
