Today I had a Nice day out with my neighbour and a friend of his, at the Driffield show.
After the show we went for a meal and casually chatted, obviously Commers came into it. My neighbours friend just casually said he had taken all the old pressed out of lynwood and transported them to a firm in Wales! I asked about the tooling, but he didn't know what happened to that.
I don't think he realised how significant that was to imp fans!

No need for tooling for much longer hopefully. A guy in Pompey is working on a fibreglass bodyshell to take all the Imp components. If his bonnets, boots, doors etc are anything to go by the quality will be top notch.

Not a kit car, a replacement bodyshell. Steel would be better in some ways but having had yet another rusty hole welded up on my one the idea of a rot free body appeals.
