Hi 
I have a Commer with a LPG convertion i will try and post some pickies soon . i was the one that posted the thread about the electric fuel pump. i actually taken it off mine now and reverted back to a new manual one . i had a electric pump that was better at pushing fuel than sucking it if you know what i mean . i had it under the drivers seat which was far to far away from the tank to let it work properly the fuel kept being starved .
Im going to look at fitting it at the back closer to the tank in the winter. my LPG system has two shut off solenoids one for petrol and one for gas .i am problems at the moment which i have had plenty of responce for help from "the Commer Family"
have a system fitted or are you thinking of getting one fitted ? mine was done when i bought her about a year ago.

I have managed to get a tank and most of a OMVL system of Ebay.I have taken the water tank of my Autosleeper and fitted a Carver water filter electric pump system so I can have the water outside of the van. Now that the onboard water tank has gone I will mount the gas tank there (it should be lighter than a tank full of water). I was thinking of putting the tank filler on the iner wheel arch above the hand brake (easy to get at and no big hole in the outside body work).
I have not decided where to put the vaporiser solinoids etc. That is why I was asking for photoes

I have finally finished installing an LPG system on Dora. I found a very helpful LPG installer locally. I showed him the parts that I had bought of EBay and he advised me which parts to use as a Commer only needs a simple system. He will be doing the certification and any adjustments on Monday.
If any body else decides to do an LPG conversion you need a tank (I fitted a 57 litre donought tank opposite the spare wheel. Because of the size of the tank I had to alter the exhaust) I used the opportunity to increase the size of the bore (see photo nice chrome tail pipe)
You need a vaporiser filter, petrol shut of valve, LPG mixer and change over switch (Buy new as these come with loom and wiring diagram)
I also fitted a K & N air filter as another improvement.
After the system has been checked over by an expert we will be heading South on a two week adventure finishing up in the Mumbles. I will give an update on how it performs on our return.

They look interesting shows but the dates are wrong for us headining towards Deven then Cornwall and backup towards Mumbles 30/8/08 back in worh 1/9, if there are any shows on in any of these areas I would be interested in them, (Chance to see vehicles that I would not normaly see

Looks great . mine has two long torpedo type tanks where the the water tank used to be . have yu noticed the engine runs a bit hotter ? i left mine tiking over for about 20 mins and she started to bubble !! have you adjusted the ignition timing if so what to ? mine seems to run a little flat on LPG

I took Dora to have my work checked out and to get the final agustments done. and to get a certificate for the insurance.
I watched while he set it up on the anilizer he did not alter the ignition timing just the screw on the vaporiser (mine was runing lean)
and to alter the screw on the pipe to the mixer for the idle speed.
Been on a 60 mile round trip and I happy with Dora's performance on gas no over heating problems.
I can recomend the guys at Warringtonautogas for giving me advice with my convertion and they like Commer vans

11-13mpg [:0] even on gas that's appauling[xx(]
Macker, my 4.2 litre Range Rover does that much! I've just been given a kit off a carb engined RR, not sure whats there yet, but I hope to fit it on my Commer. I've been using LPG on RRs for twelve years now, but always on injected engines, so doing it on a carburetter will be interesting. Can't do anything for a couple of weeks tho', as I'm up to me oxters replacing the woodwork on my Morris 1000. Watch this space!
