Lost in 1993

Hi folks
Just joined the group, bit of background. Past 18 years I've owned 3 vw bays and 1 commer which I didn't keep which i regret massively.
I'm now looking to buy another commer however before I do i want to see if I can track my dad's old commer which he sold in 1993. He did try and give to me but I was 19 and it wasn' that cool back then but we had it years and call our holidays were in this bus.
I know the commer community is small so it' worth a try and I hope you dont mind me joining you folks on your forum.
The reg number was RJU479M. Reg date may 1974. Last taxed.
I know this is a long shot but always worth a try.

Hi Maz and welcome to the madhouse
It was last taxed in 1994 so it's been off the road soon after it was offered to you Doesn't look good but hopefully it's gathering dust in a barn somewhere. Failing that keep looking as vans do come up from time to time but seem a bit thin on the ground just now but keep searching and keep us up to date.
Looks like your old van was an Auto-Sleeper - like mine
