we have just got back

went in the j4 and still had to park in the car park [V]
but what a brilliant day, weather a bit gloomy but mostly dry and it kept the crowds down to below crush levels.
unfortunately no pics as chris forgot to charge the camera [B)]
not a whiff of commer or riley, but some very nice cars/bikes and some fantastic flying [^] no lancaster or B17 due to weather but we did have a hurricane mk1, p40 kittyhawk,p51 mustang, spitfire mkIX and a griffon engined seafire mkXVII which was rescued from a warrington scrap yard after 30 years (slipped up there panky

) according to the commentator "it was a very successful carrier aircraft".............errr no it was,nt, it had the highest loss rate of any naval aircraft, due to inheriting the spits flimsy wing and too narrow undercarriage. of the first 48 in service 38 0/0 had crashed by day 2 [xx(]
but beautiful too listen too
a great day [^]

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody SLIDING doors off no.3"
