Why do I think that it's a tedious advert, and that it should be pulled - as it's obviously bollox, and it's just a bit of cock and bull to get people to share the ad with their mates on different forums to get lots of people looking at it?
But there again, I don't like using self service checkouts, hate being asked for my loyalty card and most recently of all - hate being pedalled chocolate at WHS when all I want to do is buy the latest issue of whatever [)]

I've just got the hang of the auto check outs at B&Q and find it quite satisfying when you fly through and the assistant doesn't need to interveen with the master key It is irritating though when the voice says 'Place the item on the scales' and the role of PTFE tape doesn't register[V]
Hmm, I wonder what happens at these self service tills when for eg; you buy some speaker cable that you cut off a huge roll and pay per metre?? does the checkout take your word for it that you have only 2m? or does it automatically call the assistant?
i remember when i was young (about 18) getting about 20m of speaker cable and coiling it up in a small ball and saying to the even younger checkout girl i had 3m...she said in a VERY loud voice ''I don't think so sir'' and uncoiling it all to measure it hahaha...there was quite a queue who all laughed at me...all I could say was ''well you gotta try aintcha'' :I:I
