hi guys your never beleave where i've been so far this winter working on marbals. i was going to sort out the wheels when i was jacking her up from the side holes she gave way aaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! [:(!] so got set behind. wanted to get photo's up of my 1969 sweet heart already so you can all see the start of the restore to the end, but she hurting my wallet. but i wont give up, So this is just a message to all my commer friends i've not left you and not given up.

this is quite a commern problem , it seems the jacking points are just about strong enough for the odd wheel change but for serious jacking its best to use a trolley jack under the crossmember or axle. or strengthen them to cope :)

I know one of Harvey's front ones is shot, it looks fine but if you poke your finger between the section of pipe and the chassis member there is only fresh air [:0]. I also know at least one of the rears is definitely OK because the weight has been on the jack for about four years cos I was fed up pumping the tyre up, how lazy is that :I

Tried jacking our van up at the weekend . . .

But the jack wouldn't fit in the jacking tubes, which seem fine and original themselves, so assuming the jack is not correct.

Anybody got a spare jack for sale ?
 
Nice one woolfy, always looking to help. Unfortunately I won't be needing your services just yet as I've got a couple of old bed steads and an old washing machine I can butcher to get my own repair sections for a while [}:)];)

John you crack me up!!..i can see you now armed with some tinsnips and a MIg welder fabricating every panel from that old Zanussi washer!..Lol every time you would drive over a speed hump, your Commer would 'squeak' like an old 'worn out' bed..:p[}:)]:D

I'm trying to find a panel that could make use of the soap powder tray :) maybe a letter box for those longer camping trips. 1100 spins-peed camper anyone:D
