Introducing Henry

So finally I found a Morris Traveller after a lot of looking, I've sold the Audi convertible and will be using "Henry" as my everyday car. Here's Henry meeting Brian up at Commerland the other week :D

He's really nippy, however we do have a bit of a judder when he gets warm, so we are trying a carb rebuild to see if that solves the problem. He's not done much mileage in the last few years so I guess we might get a few hiccups getting him into regular use again.

Nice one Debs :D
And great that we are all getting beautiful classics as our daily cars.

Will you be at Martins in September?

I was going to, but he has paperwork including the original bill of sale and he's always been called Henry, so seemed wrong to change him

Right - feeling inspired by Panky's fettling of Ted I'm off to have a clean up of Henry's interior which I think needs a womans touch :D;)

But I cant touch his sun visors without the foam crumbling inside:(:(

Still waiting for the carb rebuild kit to arrive, so we still have the occasional judder but it all adds to the experience.

Thanks Jostein. I'm loving owning and driving him, although the driving to the shops has developed into an adventure already, trying to avoid the 30 min conversation each time with the "had one, want one, etc" that appear each time. [8D]:D

Inspired as I was, I got to work to clean the interior on Saturday, I've managed to get a lot of the 49 years of grime off the roof lining, I think I may need something a little stronger than the detergent I was using, I also tried ddseven! Now the roof smells of wee:I. Anyone got any good suggestions or secret recipes.

Autoglym Caravan Cleaner, they pinched the recipe off me;)
If that doesn't work give it a coat of vinyl silk emulsion:)
