Good luck on your quest. I made furniture with 9mm ply and 2x1 batten with big doors (only had about 30mm around doors)and it did flex quite a bit so doors pinched and all sorts. I will remake with 15mm lightweight ply so won’t need framework and hopefully won’t flex.
