insulation

Hey guys, ive had my commer back for a few weeks after Tim has done a great job of welding on an autosleeper roof. (was a wanderer with no roof!!) Its is now a complete metal shell and i went for a spin in it today and the condensation in it was mental. Im wondering whats the best way to prevent as much condensation as possible and whats the best insulation to use for when I start putting it all back together?

How about this stuff

normal foil faced radiator foam from any diy store is great, whatever you do DONT use opencell foam ie bathsponge type foam ,fibreboard, felt or even sound deadening foam or anything that retains water as your pride and joy will start rotting immediately,

Cool, cheers guys, do I literaly roll it out and stuff it against all the metal that will be covered with material or cupboards etc...

Yup, I stuck mine on with spray carpet glue (although it wasn't this stuff) and you can cover the exposed bits with roof lining material or similar - unless you like the idea of a turkeys eye view:)

that stuff looks great, im gonna order an autosleeper roof rubber seal from here too soon. Not just yet though, but im getting a list of the the gear i will need and then im gonna get it in one lump.

It took ages to get it started today, the battery was so flat! I think its past its best, but when i did get it going it drove brilliantley, much less burpy and alot smoother with the gears. Cheers Tim you did a well good job!! What did you say about the floor again? smear it with oil or something before I put the wood down? Ive also noticed some light rust coming through some of the old crap grey primer, whats best to do, scuff it all off with an angle grinder and then what should I coat it with to seal the metal up good. Im not bothered about how it looks right now, just want it rust proofed the best I can, and then paint it in the summer matt blue!![8D]

Good show [^]
We had to charge the battery a couple of times, its probably past it [xx(]
Yes, get some old oil and a paint brush and just "paint' the floor with it, push it into all the seams/joins.
The rust coming through is best being wire brushed/ sandpapered off and treated with some rust killer(Jenolite, Kure-Rust) and then some good zinc primer :)
P.S we could use another socket :D
