Hi Commerades
Baz and I are going to an Imp event in Reading on the weekend of 23-25 April in our Commers. Just got back from a meeting with the Chairman of the Imp Club, who is organising it - and he is delighted to extend the invitation for anyone on this forum who would like to come along in their own Rootes product.
It coincides with the weekend of the drive it day, on Sunday 25th. when you can come and join us on our classic run on the Sunday. The location is the Reading Abbey Rugby Club, near Sonning Common. It was the location of the successful Imp 09 national. It will also be the debut of Peggy and Babs - their coming out ball, so to speak.
The basic program is arrive on Friday night/Sat morning. Saturday there will be a run to a location yet to be decided - and the admission will be included in the price (also yet to be determined). Sat night will be in the club house for a quiz and consumption of liquids, and Sunday will be the drive it day run for those who wish to take part.
It's going to be a pretty laid back weekend. All we need is an idea of number of people likely to turn up. There will be a small nominal fee for participation to cover pitches and the entry to whatever location we end up at on the Sat. There are no electical hook ups, however.
So - if you are interested - please express your interest here.
Cheers
Andy
