I am TRYING to remove air f4om the system so i am going To empty complètly using the gunson easy bleed kit at the moment i only have 500ml bottle of dot 4 would that be enough

That should be plenty. My method of bleeding the system is to push a tightly fitting tube over the bleed nipple and put the end into a clean jar with fluid covering the end of the tube. crack the nipple open just enough to allow fluid through when the pedal is pushed then just keep pumping the pedal - no down, close nipple, up pump, open nipple, down etc just keep pumping and keep an eye on the master cylinder level and top up. Run a couple of master cylinders worth of fluid through then close the bleed nipple and test, works every time for me. It also helps if you smear some grease around the nipple threads after you crack it open to seal them up.

Do i need to keep the pedal down with a lenght of wood before opening the bleed nipple or is it ok after pumping to just open bleed nipple without pedal HELD to floor ? ALSO DO i leave cap off whilst doing it are u doing it on ur own or with someone , i am on my own doing it

No just pump away as I described and yes leave the master cylinder cap off so you can keep an eye on the fluid level. I've done it on my own many times.
Different people have different ways of doing it but this is mine. After using the conventional method, and an easy-bleed, I find this way much less of a faff.
