How do I fit a K&N Filter

Hello Again Commer Van Fans,

I have read quite a few posts on here about fiting an RC40 exhaust, but what about the K&N Filter?

What filter is it?
How do I go about replacing replacing the original setup?

Any info gratefully received!

Cheers

Dave

I had a crack at this - I got a second hand one for a VW Polo, and stuck it on!

p.s. this is not the final solution, just a temporary fix!

oh and K&N is the airfilter brand. Virtually no resistance, reusable and cleanable and basically the best filter you can get. Down sides? they are expensive and quite noisy - but more than made up for with their coolness!

I just used the ahem recycled tubing to join the gap between the filter and the existing tube, like I say, just a bodge until I work out something more permanent.

I uderstand that K&N's also come in 57 varieties. Nice one BMM, I love a good bodge [8D]

Just a thought..might be good to extend the 'temporary' piping.Im sure it would be better to take in cooler air than the warm air around the engine bay??..

Its bound to give you trouble!..thats what you asked for though isnt it!???
