I sorted my garage into 4 piles of stuff.
1. Stuff I`m keeping
2. Stuff I`m not getting rid of.
3. Stuff I might use..one day.
4. Stuff that might come in handy.

I found a length of suitable ducting, so revised the filter arrangement. It now sits in front of the rad.

That's better, nice cold air[^] The filter wont rattle against the engine side cover now - and it's quieter
Still prefer a drainpipe bend, can't be doing with all that stainless
