Highwayman fuel breather?

One of the MOT advisories for Bessie Bus was an undetected smell of fuel. It seems to be bad near the n/s/r corner. I've checked for leaks and can't find any. She's had two full fill-ups recently and is currently half-full. There is no visible breather pipe that I can see.

Any suggestions?

Bazzateer had a similar problem with his Highwayman. It turned out to be high up in the filler neck. He exposed it by removing the ally cover from under the pullout bed.

Thanks for that bit of info, Chris. I'm going to have a look at that too, as there is a tad too much petrol in my Highwayman too.. Probably not unsafe, but a bit uncomfortable and not the sort of smell you want inside a camper, really.

I couldn't see a breather pipe on the filler neck in spite of looking. I know the alloy cover you are referring to so will check that and post my findings.

The Zenith carbs have a nasty habit of dribbling petrol over the exhaust manifold when you switch the engine off[xx(] There is even a little drain on the inlet manifold designed specifically for the task[:0]

In my case it was the rubber hose connecting the filler to the tank. It was not fuel hose so had perished. I used some silicone fuel hose and a couple of pieces of pipe to fabricate a fuel-tight set-up. I can fill to the brim now with no smells.
