Right aside from setting fire to my van im really struggling to find a soloution as to how to put the air filter assembly together, when i got the van it was in bits and i cant get it back together!!! Help!!! anyone with a pic or ideas or something????????

Yea was kinda thinking that, local auto parts store has k&n style pod air filters for $27nzd so might just grab one

In the meantime, while you wait for the K&N:
You should have a metal box that looks like a kidney with two holes in the bottom face, one of those holes goes on the top of your carb. Then you should have something that looks like a saucepan, with the air filter in it, that goes on the other hole, I don't think I have any pics - it was the first thing I changed! But if you download the manual from the homepage, there should be a diagram showing it in there somewhere. No just checked theres an exploded pic of the "saucepan bit" on page c-11, but thats it!

One hole of the fabricated bend (kidney shaped thing) fits to the top of the carb and a rubber hose bend attaches to the other. The other end of the hose bend points upwards and attaches to the filter pan - there should be a bracket on the inner wing to support where the hose is clamped to the filter pan - from what I can remember:I

hmmmmm great singing lads....... NOT! how ever the screams of joy ancd laughter i got when i took my van to the shops(edit piss shop!) almost made me sing... its amazing the attention they grab,esp in satin black!
