Hi all, you may well have already seen me in answering my many questions on the various fb groups. We recently bought a Commer Wanderer and I drove it back from Kent to Norwich (with a couple of issues) Now spending the winter sorting out some issues before using it a bit next year.

She has no interior except a bed made of two back to back bench seats. My plan is to get the engine running better with carb rebuild, electronic ignition and new coil, leads and plugs. She has a cooling issue so will try a flush of the system. Failing that I think it might be time for a new rad and electric fans. Also there is a bit of surface rust underneath!

I’d also like to put in a remote brake booster and dual circuits for brakes. Long term an engine swap is on the cards. Also going to put in some seats at the front and of course build some sort of interior!

Many thanks in advance for all the answers to my millions of questions!

Hi Mozo and welcome along :) Ask away and we'll attempt to answer your queries and help with your issues but it does sound like you've got things covered. The usual price must be paid of course and the currency is pics - plenty of pics please:cool:

thanks guys, I’ll get some pics up at the weekend. It’s a van that’s shown up on fb before, not sure if the previous owner was active on here. I think I am owner 8 or 9! Quite excited to get some jobs done then go exploring. In terms of engine swap I’m tempted to do the Saab 2.3 as done by another member on fb and on here I think.

Welcome to the forum. That 2.3 certainly shifts - I’ve watched every video and has been a lot of engineering work to Get it going. There’s also a Zetec conversion that seemed easier - not sure how that’s going currently. I’m still waiting for the first electric conversion!
Best of luck
