Hello!

Early days, early days. Here's a pic of my Commer 2500, 1970 and still going strong. I'm also into Minis, but still love the Commer. Getting very rare in NZ now. Mine's a bus with the rear seats taken out, but other than that, it's totally original and free of rust apart from some very slight surface rust on the roof.

I'll be keeping it as it's useful, fun to drive and makes people smile.

And thanks for setting up the forum - great idea. Hope it builds into a worthwhile community. There's loads of Mini forums around the world (I like www.ausmini.com the best), and they work really well for sharing experiences and information.

Cheers,
Simon.

Nice one Simon - Got to add in some pics of my ride in the Readers Ride section - should lead by eaxmple I guess :D

Aww, she's lovely - lucky girl is in the right place to stay rust free, look at that blue sky! Love the curve on the back windows Angus :) (< hehe, you're right about her making people smile)

Although it does look like she has an arm at the back and she's sticking her fingers up at me!!! :O

Hehe, yeah maybe it's an "Up yours suckers, I'm in NZ and you're not" :D

And where is the welcome wagon (no pun intended, honest g'uv) Mr Admin? Hummm?

howdo from Lancashire!
We own a Commer PB, 1964 camper - we love it but we're still getting it reliable.
Case in point - drove it to the MOT station last week and the exhaust dropped off and fuel pump killed itself in the garage.
The tester called and said 'now Ange you know I'm fairly patient about the things you fetch in but there are limits'. Fair point!
In addition to the Commer we own a couple of Hillman Imps and a Clan Crusader Imp-based rally car (not running but all the bits are sat next to it in the garage). And some motorbikes.
Hope this forum starts to get busy, we don't really know any other Commer owners around here.
Angela
