Greetings all! :)

What a fine place to chat about these cracking campers! I remember my old BB (Boy's Brigade - don't laff!) having a van which was a Commer - I was sad to see it go (but was too young at the time to do anything about it) - we had a Bedford CF (L-plate) as a replacement which was pretty cool too tho!

I've had a couple of (I know - you're all cringing at the thought) VW's which were fun - Type 2 Bay and the later Type 25 but, after a few years (7ish) I feel the need to return to campers and am looking for a Commer - Horrah!! I've seen Doms - looks great - just need to sell some stuff to get some £'s together

BB - Brownies - Scouts - all good stuff for making new chums - I feel at home already! ...now ...where's that "Commer" I'm looking for?! Time to go out and do what we Beagles do best - "sniff-it out" (amongst other things!)

It's what holds yer neckerchief on. Usually a leather hoop - a bit like a small napkin ring :)

aahhhhh, that'll be why I didn't know it - mine was velcro fastened :D

May have been a Brownie but I didn't get my camping badge:I hope you got one for commer sniffing Beagle - you'll get a hint of the smell of hot oil combined with old cushions suffused with warm exhuast and vinyl and a waft of petrol about 10 minutes after one has parked up somewhere - hope this helps with what to sniff for :D

hello to you too! my dad was a BB, I was a girl guide and brownie pack leader for a while, got my camping badge and have always been prepared, what for I'm not sure, got me a woggle for being in gang shows, its up in the roof somewhere, was never into sniffing tho' tee hee :D good luck with the Commer search, I love them!!!! What can I say but thanks :D for those useful pointers with regards to smell Studiocommer - they worked a treat! - I think I've found one! Going for a test drive this Friday and I'll let you all know how it goes!

All this talk about "woggles" - I prefer my good ole collar but that's a Beagle-thing I guess!!
